Validation Process for Pharma Franchise in Punjab

In Pharmaceutical industry, validation is evolving since its first presence seen in the United States in 1978.It is the process of establishing documented proof representing that a procedure, process, or activity carried out in testing and then production maintains the preferred level of compliance. On every stage of the beginning of commercial productions and conclusion of product development, the validation should take place. To sum it up, it’s a confirmation process that the requirements of the specific anticipated product are fulfilled.

Biophar Group is Pharma Franchise pharmaceutical company which ponders three main principals of validation which are Quality, Safety and Effectiveness of the desires products; because quality of the product cannot be tested on the final stage, therefore, it is vital to inspect each step of manufacturing process to have utmost quality and design results. Also, validation helps to understand the quality guidelines of Product Lifecycle through which we can determine the process constraints and all unavoidable control needs. It also helps to confirm the process design as capable of reproducible commercial manufacturing. It is also necessary to keep on checking the process so that there are no deviations from the established parameters pronounced. Safety concerns take the front seat in the pharmaceutical industry as they deal in making products which are consumed by patients.

The Pharma PCD further adds that as per the latest validation guide, the entire life cycle of the product is split into three phases. The very first phase where all the knowledge is assembled to increase the production. The second phase is of process qualification wherein the manufacturing system is validated at tactical points. The final phase is continued authentication which is an ongoing process. These all three phases are necessary for confirming constant quality and production throughout, therefore all Pharmaceutical companies in and around Punjab must apply these methods to improve efficiency and intensify productivity.

Quality Control in Pharmacy

Quality control is an essential operation of the pharmaceutical industry. It is one of the key departments in the pharmaceutical industry.  Quality assurance is considered as a good practice in the manufacture of pharmaceutical products, as it is the process of substantiating for integrity of products to meet the standard for the proposed use. The pharmaceutical environment in today’s scenario is changing at a faster pace due to factors like Globalization, increased competition, cost constraints, demand for efficiency, and development of international regulation, supply chain complexity, and product/process complexity. Therefore to move with this fast-changing environment, companies should learn to adapt, only then they will prosper.

Quality assurance is concerned with providing confidence that the requirements for quality are fulfilled and consists of eight principles. These  principles  focus on customer satisfaction,  emphasis on leadership, involve  personnel at all levels of the organization, manage activities and resources as a process, adopt  a system to management, facilitate continuous improvement, logical decision making by  using  a factual approach  and establishing  supplier relationships that are mutually beneficial.

Biophar Group is a Pharma Franchise which manufactures and delivers zero defect products to the customers. They aim at quality manufacturing so as to ensure the efficacy and safety attributes of products so that consumers health is not compromised. The third party manufacturing lays strong emphasis on supremacy in manufacturing as ignorance on that will bring an adverse effect on the manufacturing process. The company feels that it will not just bring a bad name to the brand but it will also have a lack of therapeutic effect on the consumers which will cause prolonged illness and in worse situation may lead to death. The credibility of the company is also at stake in such a scenario. Therefore so as to compliance with GMP, a pharmaceutical company must work on the quality assurance and quality control of all their products.

High burden of disease, good economic growth leading to higher disposable incomes, improvements in healthcare infrastructure and improved healthcare financing are some of the driving factors of the industry in the domestic market. Pharmaceutical companies are growing both organically and inorganically wherein the latter is growing through licensing and partnerships as high valuation of assets is making acquisitions difficult. Companies are organically also improving their operations and productivity by enlarged field force sizes, catering to Tier II and III cities and by expanding their product portfolios.

The growth rate of Indian pharmaceutical industries is fabulous and is expected to expand at a CAGR of 15.92 per cent to US$ 55 billion by 2020 which would make India hit the top three pharmaceutical and sixth largest market globally in absolute size. The Pharmaceutical Industry in India is one of the largest in the world. It is ranked 4th in the World pertaining to the volume of sales. The Indian pharmaceuticals market is the third largest in terms of volume and thirteenth largest in terms of value, and it accounts for 20 per cent in the volume terms and 1.4 per cent in value terms of the Global Pharmaceutical Industry. India is a massive provider of generic drugs globally with the Indian generics accounting for 20 per cent of global exports in terms of volume. The consolidation is an important characteristic of the Indian pharmaceutical market as the industry is highly fragmented. Presently over 80 per cent of the antiretroviral drugs used globally to combat AIDS (Acquired Immuno Deficiency Syndrome) are supplied by Indian pharmaceutical firms

It is expected that The Indian pharmaceutical market size will grow to US$ 100 billion by 2025, due to an increase in consumer spending, rapid urbanization and raising healthcare insurance. Going forward, better growth in domestic sales would also depend on the ability of companies to align their product portfolio towards chronic therapies for diseases such as cardiovascular, anti-diabetes, anti-depressants and anti-cancers that are on the rise.

To boost the pharmaceutical industry, the Indian government has also taken several steps to reduce costs and bring down healthcare expenses. Speedy introduction of generic drugs into the market has remained in focus and is expected to benefit the Indian pharmaceutical companies. In addition, the thrust on rural health programmes, lifesaving drugs and preventive vaccines also portend well for the pharmaceutical companies.

Impact of GST on Pharmaceutical Industry

Biophar group is one of the primitive pharmaceutical industry which manufactures quality pharmaceutical products in the market. Quality assurance is taken as one of the most imperative practices in the manufacture of pharmaceutical products, as it is the process of vouching for the integrity of products to meet the standard for the proposed use. It serves as an obligation which makes sure manufacturers meet the requirement of end-user needs in terms of safety, quality, efficacy, strength, reliability and durability.  The top Pharma Franchise Company postulates that quality is a benchmark of perfection for the end-user.

The current statistics of Pharmaceutical Industry is currently the 3rd largest in the world in terms of volume and ranks 14th in terms of value. As the population is rapidly increasing, the need for better Healthcare Services is also expanding and preferred. Five percent of the country’s GDP is spent on the Healthcare sector. The country’s healthcare industry has been growing exponentially in last few years, and the Health Ministry targets for the development of new technologies to end the year for treating fatal diseases. So as to bring in more FDI (Foreign Direct Investment) to the country, the Government has also raised the cap.

The passing of the GST (Goods and Services Tax) Bill has grabbed the attention of all the industries including the pharmaceutical industry. GST has a constructive effect on the Healthcare Industry particularly the Pharma sector. It would help the industries by streamlining 8 different taxes into one uniform tax which will ease out the way of doing business in the country, as well as minimizing the effects of manifold taxes that is applied to one product. GST further would provide an aid to the Pharmaceutical companies in rationalizing their supply chain. To add to, GST will reduce the overall cost of technology. Currently, the technical machinery and equipment which are imported into the country by the healthcare sector are very costly. Also, the duty which is levied is not allowed as a tax credit under the present tax regulations. However, with GST this scenario might change. Under GST, duty charged on the import of such equipment and machinery would be allowed as a credit.

As far as the Pharma Industry is concerned the GST legislation will benefit the customers by making health care more affordable. It will further make customers and industry player be in a win-win situation. The pharmaceutical industry would profit from the GST implementation as it would diminish the complexities and various obstacles to the growth of a business.

Good Manufacturing Practices Undertaken By Pharma Franchise

Biophar Life sciences is a Pharma Franchise in Punjab which is a leading manufacturing unit in the pharmaceutical company. The company is known to maintain its quality standards by manufacturing top quality products with an in-house manufacturing unit which is very well equipped with latest machinery. To deliver the same the company focuses on Good manufacturing practice (GMP) which is a system for ensuring that products are consistently produced and controlled according to quality standards. It is designed to minimize the risks involved in any pharmaceutical production that cannot be eliminated through testing the final product.

The company is proactively involved in delivering best quality products by following Good Manufacturing Practice complying with all the policies rules and regulations. The PCD Pharma Franchise abandons Poor quality medicines for they are not only a health hazard but a waste of money for both governments and individual consumers. The main risks by following such practices are unexpected contamination of products, causing damage to health or even death; incorrect labels on containers, which could mean that patients receive the wrong medicine; insufficient or too much active ingredient, resulting in ineffective treatment or adverse effects.

GMP covers all aspects of production; from the starting materials, premises and equipment to the training and personal hygiene of staff.  Detailed, written procedures are essential for each process that could affect the quality of the finished product. There must be systems to provide documented proof that correct procedures are consistently followed at each step in the manufacturing process - every time a product is made.

The Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) has mandated risk-based inspections for all the Schedule M units in the country following notification for grant of licenses till perpetuity. The Union health ministry had recently notified Drugs and Cosmetics (Tenth Amendment) Rules, 2017 doing away with renewal of licenses for the manufacture, sale and distribution of pharmaceutical products every five years.“These risk-based inspections are meant to ensure that drugmakers comply with GMP notwithstanding the fact that there is now no need to renew a license every five years. Non-compliance to GMP would immediately attract strict penalties under the law and even cancellations based on the severity of the case,”. The manufacturing and sale of licenses, once issued, shall remain valid forever unless suspended or cancelled by the licensing authority. The relevant rules have been amended for this purpose.  Risk-based inspections are based on a checklist issued for the state drug regulators aimed at streamlining uniform inspection procedures across the country related to GMP.  Central Drug Standard Control Organization recently concluded the checklist and tools which are meant to help them and state drug regulators to understand and collaborate which pharmaceutical and active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) manufacturing sites have been inspected and are found to be compliant.  The Union health ministry is also in the final stages to release a draft guideline towards the enhancement of GMP to align India-specific standards with global regulations for better product quality of pharmaceutical products. As per the new notification, an inspection of drug manufacturing plants will be conducted by both central and state inspectors every three years to verify compliance with the conditions of license and provisions of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940. The manufacturers will have to appraise the regulator and apply for a no-objection certificate in case of any minor or major changes made by them in their unit. Aimed at enhancing ease of doing business in India, the government amended rules for manufacturers to grant licenses that will remain valid as long as they comply with GMP.
